First I want to thank all that had left a comment to enter into my giveaway. I'm running a bit behind on my crafting schedule, but the winner will be posted tomorrow. For today, I just wanted to share another card I made with some leftover scraps I had.
The technique here is called Iris Folding. A very basic square pattern. I hope to make a video tutorial on this technique very soon. The heart was die cut, the grid paper was punched with a circle punch, and the Iris Folded portion were all scraps. The sentiment was stamped on a predesigned piece I had for years. The stamp is from Papertrey Ink. I added faux stitching around the box and hand drew a square around the focal point. Keep those scraps and put them to use! Happy stamping!!
I look forward to your tutorial. I've seen cards made this way and they always turn out so bulky. Yours looks like you took the obvious step to use less layers. I love using up scraps, so this is a win-win card (and it's lovely).
