Hello my friends. I've been going through a transitional moment with my hobby. I'll share more in the near future. I've been reading a lot of motivating blogs and I've been 'checking' my actually crafting skill and style. While I've done well in mastering my crafting skill - being able to use a variety of tools and techniques - I think I've almost neglecting working on my own style. I hope to fix that in the near future. More on that to come.
Anyway, with that said, I wasn't truly satisfied with my last entry for the Embellish challenge. Fortunately they let you enter in 2 entries, so here is my second entry - which I am much more happier with.
What do you think? I clear embossed the wood grain background stamp on both the gray and green cardstock. I used a filing tool to distress the edges of the paper. I used my red tape, that had flowers on it, I cut off the flower portion so I could use it on this masculine card. I needed to incorporate the red color somehow.
For fun, I used blue acrylic paint with a stipple brush which adds a lot of texture. I used my wonderful Rough Edges stamp set that I've had for years from Stampin' Up! It is a great alphabet set, I get uppercase and lowercase and it has its own little storage box. I'm so happy I've held on to this set for so long.
Welcome into my creative 'evolution'. I welcome your comments and feedback as I start to share more with you, my process, my realizations, and my motivations. I hope to keep your interest and maybe encourage you to grow in your own creative environment.
Happy stamping!
