8X8 layout - no photo

I recycled a bag I got from a craft store to make the base of this 8x8 layout.  I simply tore off the top to make it fit better on the layout.  Inside the bag is a love note from my husband - he actually put a mat around the cardstock and used eyelets!  I was impressed.
These bags are so much fun to use on a layout.  They not only provide a useful pocket for memorabilia but also are a neutral color and can easily be decorated.
I used supplies from the Pieces of Me kit I ordered from Two Peas in a Bucket.  I also combined some older products too.  Like the background paper and the rub on for the word "note" were from 2009ish...Stampin' Up! products that I've had in my stash.  I layered some of the dictionary paper and a doily to add some softness.  I used my silver mist from Stampin' Up! on the background to add some interest.  It's hard to see, but I also stamped hearts on the bag in the bottom right corner.  These 8x8 layouts come together so easily since there is less space and in this case, just one focal point.
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are inspired to create a layout today.

  1. I like the bag to hold your love note. The tag and doily add a lot of layers and texture, too. What a sweet husband you have!
